1. Trace the historical background of Arbitration in India.
2. Examine the provisions relating to ‘Appointment of Arbitrators’ and grounds for
its challenge under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
3. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of Arbitration.
4. Examine the provisions relating to conciliation of disputes arising out of legal
relationship under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
5. State and explain the provisions relating to ‘Making Arbitral Award and Termination
of Proceedings’ under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
6. Examine the main features of Fast-Track Arbitration.
7. Explain the following :
a) Comparative study of the provisions of the Arbitration Act, 1940 and the provisions
of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
b) Appeals.
8. Write notes on the following :
a) Application for setting aside arbitral award.
b) Costs and deposits.
