JEE admission 2014 Notification

The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced)-2014 is going to be conducted by seven zonal IITs for admission to the undergraduate programmes in all IITs and ISM Dhanbad.

The institutions involved in this process with zonal IITs are IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee.

JEE Advanced 2014 is the second stage of the Joint Entrance Examination. To be eligible for this stage, the candidates should have appeared for JEE Main 2014 and cleared the stage.

The qualified students of JEE main 2014 will be shortlisted to appear for the JEE Advanced 2014 Examination. Admissions to IITs will be based on category-wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE-Advanced 2014 provided that candidates who are in the top 20 percentage of their corresponding boards.

JEE Advanced Paper Pattern:
JEE Advanced 2014 is an offline examination. Two separate objective type multiple choice question papers, (Paper-1 and Paper-2), will be conducted and each having separate parts of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The duration of each paper will be 3 hours.

Eligibility:
1. The candidates must qualify in the JEE main and be one of the top 1, 50,000 candidates to appear for the JEE Advanced 2014,

2. Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1989. The SC/ST/PWD candidates must be born on or after October 1, 1984.

How to apply: 
You should register online. Registration will be available from 4th - 9th May 2014 at the official website. Only those candidates who are in the top 1, 50,000 including all categories in Paper-1 of JEE Main exam 2014, are eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced 2014.

The examination fee is to be paid by candidates. It is Rs. 2000 for GE and OBC (NCL) male candidates. The fee for SC, ST, PD male candidates is Rs. 1000. No fee will be collected from femail candidates. They are free to apply.  Candidates appearing from Dubai Centre need to pay US $ 220.

Date of commencement of online Registration : 4 May 2014 from 10 am
Last date for submission of application: 9 May 2014 upto 5 pm
Date for JEE Advanced 2014 Test: 25 May 2014
Time for Paper 1: 9am to 12 noon
Time for Paper 2: 2 pm to 5 pm
Download of Admit card: from 10 to 24 May 2014
Date of Result: 19 June 2014
Start of JEE Advanced 2014 Counselling Registrations: 20 to 24 June 2014
