2. Explain the method of converting numbers in
(a) Decimal form to binary form
(b) Octal form to decimal form.

3. Draw structure of control unit.

4. Define firmware? How is it different from software?

5. Explain the following:
(a) SISD
(b) SIMD.

6. What is a register? Discuss.

7. Discuss Parallel Algorithms.

PART B - (5 x 10 = 50 marks)

Answer any FIVE questions.

8. Explain the various types of random access memories.

9. Write short notes on :
(a) J-K flip flop
(b) R-S flip flop.

10. Explain assembly language program development tools.

11. With diagram explain CPU components in detail.

12. Describe various types of instructions.

13. Explain any two CPU registers in detail.

14. Discuss the RISC pipe lining.
