c) Give the pointer registers of 8086 microprocessors.
d) Define an interrupt.
e) Give any two examples for NMIs.
f) LOOP instruction comes under which addressing mode for 8086?
g) What does 8254 stands for?
h) What is the meaning of Transceiver?
i) What is the use of RS 232?
j) What is the capacity of DPTR in 8051 microcontroller?
k) What is the size of SBUF register in 8051?
l) Give the PSW of 8051 microcontroller?

2. Draw and explain the architecture of 8086 microprocessor. (OR)
3. Write about the Instruction Set of 8086 with suitable examples.

UNIT - II [1 x 12 = 12M]

4. Write about how a microprocessor carries the operations to handle interrupt operations. (OR)
5. Explain the operation of microprocessor 8086 when it pin no 33 is set to 1.

UNIT - III [1 x 12 = 12M]

6. a) What is the need of interface? Explain about handshake IO.
6. b) What is CWR of 8255? (OR)
7. In detail, write about 8251.

UNIT - IV [1 x 12 = 12M]

8. a) Differentiate Microprocessors and Microcontrollers. Give the Specifications of 8051.
8. b) Give the pin configuration of 8051 microcontroller. (OR)
9. a) Write about the internal RAM arrangement of 8051 microcontroller.
9. b) Write about the following
(i) ACALL instruction.
(ii) DJNZ instruction.
(iii) ANL instruction.
