1. Discuss the provisions of the Banking Regulation
Act 1949 governing to minimum paid up capital
and reserves.
 2. How to analyse the balance sheet under financial
statement analysis?
3. Explain the General relationship of a banker.
4. What are the different types of crossing?
5. Discuss the various forms used in the operating
savings bank account.
 6. Define negotiable instrument and describe its
main features.
 7. Who are all involved in endorsement? Discuss.
8. What are the accounts opened by the non-resident
Indian?
SECTION B — (3 × 20 = 60 marks)
Answer any THREE questions.
All questions carry equal marks.
Each answer should not exceed 1,200 words.
9. Explain the important powers of RBI under
Banking Regulation Act 1949.
 10. What precautions will you take while opening
accounts of Minors and Joint Hindu Family?
 11. What are the main characteristics of Bill of
Exchange and promissory note? Differentiate
them.
12. State and explain the statutory protection
extended to a collecting banker.
 13. Discuss the services rendered by modern banker.
