3 a. What are the applications of stone dust? (10 Marks)
b. What are the various measures taken to prevent coal dust explosions? Explain how the formation of coal dust can be reduced at the 1 face 2. During transport of coal. (10 Marks)
4 Define inundation in u/g mines. Explain its causes, measures to prevent inundations. (20 Marks)

7 With a neat sketch and label, explain the Drager self contained breathing apparatus (model BG174) and Enlist the special features of the apparatus. (20 Marks)
8 With a neat sketch, explain the re-opening a scaled off fire area in an mine by collecting samples
with the help of a suction pump. (20 Marks)
