1.(a) Discuss some major personality attributes influencing OB like locus of control, Machiavellianism, type A and type B personality and self-monitoring personality trait with the help of suitable examples. [Marks 12]

Or

(b) Discuss the theories of classical conditioning and operant conditioning. Mention some critisms against these theories. [Marks 12]

2.(a) Discuss in detail Herzberg's two-factor theory and briefly elaborate Clayton Alderfer's ERG theory. [Marks 8+4=12]

Or

(b) Discuss the various barriers to effective communication clearly dividing them into two categories: receiver-oriented barriers and sender-oriented barriers. [Marks 12]

3. Answer any six from the following: [Marks 6x6=36]

(a) Discuss some personality measurement techniques.

(b) Discuss some measures to improve employee motivation employed by organisation.

(c) Elaborate on the differences between a leader and a manager.

(d) Discuss 'Halo Effect', 'Contrast Effect' and 'Stereotyping' as shortcuts used for judging others.

(e) Define group and discuss the different types of groups with the help of examples.

(f) Discuss Blake and Mouton's managerial grid model of leadership style.

(g) Define job satisfaction. How is job satisfaction related to job involvement and organisational commitment?

(h) Explain the concept of group think and group shift in the context of group behaviour.
